Sesame Street came to visit Little Voyages today!

The kids were so excited to be able to make their favorite characters, Elmo and Big Bird.
All the Big Birds lined up!  A hard day's work!

May 23rd

Today started off with a few canciones about colors and numbers! It was so cute seeing them sing and clap to the songs!  The theme for today was My Favorite colors and hobbies. We did painting for one of the activities where they made a handprint with their favorite color.

Our second day of camp was great!  The girl group had a lot of fun when they drew their favorite place. Some of the campers drew a park (un parque) or a museum (un museo).

Smile! ¡Queso!

¡Tan bonita!

We did an activity that incorporated the use of money and buying and selling at one of our favorite places...the mall!

The last project was about learning about the things surrounding the home.

First Day of Camp!

The morning group

Today was full of eager kids ready to learn Spanish!  Since our Summer Camp is a foreign language immersion and arts camp, we always have something going on!  The the 9am-1pm group were so excited to be here. The morning began with colors, numbers, and the alphabet. Next the kids had story time and then learned how to sing happy birthday in Spanish. The first art project was creating a birthday cake and going over some of the ingredients in Spanish.  After lunch the kids started an ice-cream cone art project that demonstrated their knowledge of what the different flavors are in Spanish.
